Meneer Cee (born Dalmaine Damico Lorenzo Cochrane Jr.) is a South African artist hailing from Reiger Park, Boksburg, widely recognized for pioneering Afrikaans Amapiano—a vibrant fusion of local language, township culture, and the popular Amapiano genre.


He rose to national prominence with his breakout hit, “Wie Se Kind Is Die (Straight Outta Reiger Park),” released in late 2020. The track exploded online, racking up over 40 million views and sparking a viral TikTok dance challenge that cemented his place in the local music scene.


Known for his linguistic versatility, Meneer Cee seamlessly blends Afrikaans and Zulu in his lyrics. Notable tracks include "Waars Jou Nanas," "Af My Plaas," and "Raak Bietjie Los." He has collaborated with high-profile artists such as Mellow & Sleazy, DaLootz, Loufi, and Sho Madjozi, and has expressed interest in future collaborations with YoungstaCPT, Kabza De Small, and Early B.


In 2023, Meneer Cee launched his "Namibian Invasion" tour, performing in cities including Windhoek, Rehoboth, and Walvis Bay—furthering his mission to bridge cultural gaps through music.
